I Want it Wednesday – Rocket Dog Wedge Ankle Boots

When I was 15 I used to work at a big high street shoe shop chain, and wow were Rocket Dogs popular back then. They were the crazy trainers with all sorts of colours and scribbles all over them, and coloured laces of course, and my 15 year old self was completely in love with them.

Well, I’ve grown up a bit since then, and thought I’d grown out of Rocket Dog as well, but then these beautiful boots came to my attention. As if I wasn’t in love with ankle boots enough! The gorgeous wedge shape and cool colours and patterns of these boots definitely make them worth the £49.99 price tag. And how awesome is the wool texture of the red Lex boots! It’s a really original design feature that stands them apart from the hordes of ankle boots lining store shelves.

I love all three, and even though the red Lex boots are my favourite design-wise, I think I’ll be going for the black patent Lift Offs. They’d go with pretty much anything in my wardrobe and are perfect for this season’s fetish trend.

Another designer that does casual boyish cool so well. I am in love with all these pieces in the above A.Y. Not Dead looks. How awesome are those two-toned red leather trousers, that white satiny jumpsuit, the silver jumper, that white leather jacket, the – no, I just love them all equally. And the shoes are excellent too. That’s some awesome H2T styling right there.

Win – Illamasqua Lipstick Giveaway

Dear blog readers, it’s high time I thanked you for your wonderful support over these last few months. I’ve passed 50 followers and have had over 6,000 page views since I started this blog in September, and I’m so psyched about that. So I went out and bought a lovely lipstick from the wonderful Illamasqua range. The colour I chose was Corrupt, a beautiful, bright pink that will look lovely on all skin tones. (I was also just a little bit inspired by this). It’s got a matt finish, which I felt would be more versataile as you could always slick over some gloss if you wanted to deepen the colour or create a wet-look.

Illamasqua Lipstick - Corrupt

It’s really simple to enter:

1. Be a follower of my blog either by email (scroll to the bottom of the page) or on Bloglovin. This is a giveaway to say thanks to my followers so I’m sorry but you’ll have to be a follower to enter

2. Leave a comment on this post explaining what outfit you’d love to wear Corrupt with

3. Extra entries for those who are following me on Twitter, who tweet about the giveaway (make sure you @mention me so I can see the tweet, or mention it in your comment), or reblog this post

4. This competition closes at midnight on the 9th of December, so any entries made after then will not be counted. This competition is open internationally, so wherever you are you can enter

Good luck everyone 🙂 this is a beautiful shade for Christmas parties and anyone who has used Illamasqua will surely agree that they do fantastic lipsticks! And thanks once again to all my lovely followers who have made blogging so fun for me!

I Want it Wednesday – Ear Cuffs

Ear Cuffs1. Urban Outfitters hanging chain ear cuff

2. Amazon ball and chain ear cuff

3. Amazon feather ear cuff

4. Topshop multichain ear cuff

They’re a quick fix to add a rocker edge to any outfit without losing femininity and elegance. I prefer silver chainy ones but feather ones are pretty cool too for a more bohemian spin. I’d wear them all only in one ear with a cool stud in the other.

So you all know my obsession with Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast. Well Jenny looks similar to her, has similar photos, and has a similar style … so I was bound to love her! But she’s very much her own girl too and I think she’s got such an awesome style, I had to share her with you all.

I Want it Wednesday – Fringe Boots

B Brian Atwood Pembra BootsSam Edelman Louie BootsChristian Louboutin Rom Boots

I’ve really got into fringing on clothes lately. I always thought it was a bit shabby looking and a danger hazard (those frayed ends could so get caught on stuff) but after getting this Nasty Gal top I’ve been turned around. So next on my fringe list are boots. They add a little cowboy edge to any outfit and are great for summer too with denim pieces.

I’m in love with the B Brian Atwood Pembra boots. The block heel is really cool and the almost purple-tinted colour is just beautiful. The Sam Edelman Louie boots are also a great piece as they’re so versatile and the low heel makes them super wearable. Plus, they’re a great price – unlike the Christian Louboutin Rom boots, which are way out of my monetary league. But they’re so gorgeous and I love their boho charm, so maybe they’re one to save up for. It’ll only take a few years after all …

Outfit – Pink Shorts, Socks and Plimsoles

Pink shorts, socks and plimsolesPink shorts, socks and plimsolesPink shorts, socks and plimsoles

Pink shorts, socks and plimsolesPink shorts, socks and plimsolesPink shorts, socks and plimsolesPink shorts, socks and plimsoles

shorts: Nasty Gal, top: Topshop, jackets: Topshop, Miss Selfridge, socks: Topshop, shoes: Whistles

Looking at these photos there seems to be a schoolgirl vibe going on … maybe it’s the long socks, blazer and backpack combo! But that wasn’t intentional, promise 😉 I just really wanted to take these new Nasty Gal shorts on an outing and since it was too cold to go barelegged I put on these socks and layered up with two jackets. I’m a major cold wus but this outfit kept me nice and warm.

I found finding shoes to go with long socks  really difficult! Settled on these pink plimsoles as they match the shorts. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what shoes to wear with them?

Green Tattooed Nails

Andrea Fulerton NailsAndrea Fulerton Nails

This was my first try of nail tattoos, and I have to say I’m definitely a convert now. They’re so easy to put on – you just stick them onto unpainted or painted nails and then slick a top coat over them to seal them in. I used Andrea Fulerton products from the nail goody bag I got at the Stylist shoot. I love the texture they give to your nails and they’re pretty cool looking! What do you guys think? Do you use nail tattoos and where’s the best place to get them?

Also, does anyone have any tips on taking pictures of nails? It’s surprisingly difficult!
