coat: Hollister, jumper: vintage, trousers: Maison Scotch, hat: River Island, scarf: ASOS, boots: Schuh

It’s still snowing here! Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing to be honest – yes it looks lovely, but it’s so cold and annoying when you’re trying to get things done. Anyway, it’s definitely a beautiful backdrop to outfit photos! I’m sorry I’m so wrapped up here but I’m so scared of the cold (I blame the Chinese genes) and it is freeeezing at the moment, so I kept myself warm in these pictures with my trusty panda hat, favourite new coat from Hollister and cargo trousers from Maison Scotch I got in the ASOS sale. The stars are so cute, and they look like little snowflakes here.

I Want it Wednesday – Rumi’s Simone Perele Army Jacket

Rumi's Simone Army Jacket

source: http://www.fashiontoast.com/

OMG Rumi you’re killing me. I can’t look at Fashiontoast without falling in love with pretty much every outfit, but this army jacket from Simone Perele is insane. Looks so butch and masculine, but with the buttons undone low and perhaps some cute little denim shorts it’s a winner.

I Want it Wednesday – Red Chanel Jacket

Red Chanel Jacket - Alessandra Codinha (Satorialist)

source: http://www.thesartorialist.com/

In love with this red Chanel jacket WWD reporter Alessandra Codinha is wearing. I love her teaming of it with tiny little shorts, as it’s one of those pieces that could style old (she said she stole it off her mum). It would smarten up any outfit without actually making it smart, if you know what I mean, so I’d wear it with a high-waisted leather skirt, loose-fitting crop top and little black ankle boots. Doubt I’ll be able to find this exact piece but I’ll be on the lookout for some similar jackets. There’s this McQ blazer, but it’s a little boring – I love the white and black lining on the Chanel jacket.

Pink Leather Gillet and Buckle Shoes

Karolina Kurkova Elle France December 11

The title of this post says it all, really. I love this leather gillet – not often you see one in blush pink, and it’s rare that such a colour can look so cool, tough and modern. These Balenciaga buckle boots are also totally awesome. Brown and black is a difficult combination to get right but these boots are a testament to how good they can be together when done right.

I Want it Wednesday – Reiss Women’s Jillie Navy Faux Fur Jacket

Reiss Women's Jillie Navy Faux Fur Jacket

source: Reiss

Just the one item this week, as it’s a knockout. I’ve been searching for a blue faux fur jacket or coat ever since seeing one in the Topshop AW11 party collection. I love the ombre striped effect on this Reiss jacket, which is pretty standard but seems elevated with the coloured faux fur, almost neon. I think the blue would look amazing against black leather trousers and a low-neck white tank top. Not really sure how I’d feel about pairing it with more colourful offerings though. Even though colour blocking is pretty trendy right now, I think it might be a bit too much.

Ps. Sorry for the late post, I was just so busy yesterday and forgot!

Outfit: Back to Black

Back to Black Fetish Trend Outfit

blazer: Miss Selfridge, top: French Connection, skirt: H&M, shoes: Jones, belt: Zara, bag: Nine West, necklace: River Island, cuffs: ASOS, Warehouse

I rarely wear so much black during the daytime, but I felt like looking sharp and smart today. Fetish is a massive AW11 trend but I’m not a huge fan of some of the key pieces – wide belts especially are really not my style. So I took details from the trend to inject this outfit with wearable fetish accents. This Miss Selfridge blazer is the perfect item for adding a bit of fetish style without being too extreme. Sorry it’s these boots again, but they’re just the most versataile shoes ever. Plus, I love the gradient from the brown at the bottom up through the sheer tights to the all-black top pieces.
